Sell all forms of NJ TRANSIT Rail Tickets.
Required to quote fares and schedules for NJ TRANSIT Trains.
Must have full knowledge of revenue rules, regulations, and procedures.
Responsible for the collection and deposit of Trainmen's remittances.
Must document and perform physical banking for all ticket window activity and set deposits.
Must monitor the operation of the ticket vending machines at designated terminals. Responsible for light maintenance and ticket/journal stock replenishment.
Required to assist passengers with operation of the Ticket Vending Machine (TVM) malfunctions and complete the required documents to accommodate their traveling arrangements. ]May be required to exchange cash vaults, coin drums and auxiliary coin vaults with armored car during scheduled service calls.
Must comply with all rules and regulations regarding dress code, courteous assistance to the traveling public, attendance, conduct, safety, and revenue handling.
High School Diploma or GED
Cash handling and customer service experience is preferred.
