The Unemployment Claims Processor will actively assist the State in processing unemployment claims. This project includes paid training and provides the hardware required to perform the role (laptop).
This is a remote position. Applicants must be willing to work either shift 8:00am-4:30pm EST or 9:30am-6:30pm EST/Monday-Friday, and must work 1-2 4-hour shifts per month, on Saturday or Sunday.
Process claims via inbound and outbound calls and/or chat module
Document all encounters in clear and concise logs
Develop the knowledge of customer needs and trends to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty
Provide outstanding customer service
Meet individual performance standards/metrics
Other tasks as needed
High School Diploma or GED
1 year of Call Center and/or Customer Service experience
Data Entry experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel
Typing speed of 30 wpm
Must be willing to work normal business hours and occasional weekend days as needed
Uphold a professional demeanor, while also working in an environment that allows them to work undistracted
While hardware is provided, the agent is responsible for their internet access (for which they will not be reimbursed)
Must be based in either EST, CST, or MST (Time Zones)

6 months of experience in a professional call center environment
