As part of the team located at Medtronic facilities in Mounds View and Fridley in the Twin Cities area you will welcome all visitors, vendors and employees requiring access to the office, information, or services.
A Day in the Life ·
As the Receptionist/Meeting Coordinator you will welcome and greet all visitors, vendors and employees requiring access to the office. You will:
Answer phone calls tied to a Facility Line that fields facility related concerns/requests/work orders /meeting requests and questions
Operate a telephone answering system directing callers to appropriate receiver
Book restricted rooms on behalf of meeting organizers needs (includes specific furniture setup needs and space needs) using various software systems
Provide excellent customer service to employees and guests
Direct guests to appropriate location or employee.
Ensure employees and contractors entering the office provide proper identification.
Issue temporary badges for visitors, vendors, and employees following existing procedures.
Monitor the access control systems while working at the guest entrance of the building
Assist in monitoring and dispatching Facilities related activities.
Often serve at the first point of contact for any maintenance services needs.
Assist in supporting response to emergency situations.
Provide assistance to guests as needed
Assist with miscellaneous administrative duties.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
High school diploma plu 0 years of experience required
Nice to Have
Organized, efficient, process oriented
Excellent interpersonal/communication skills
Excellent customer relations skills
Demonstrated knowledge of microsoft office suite applications
Previous receptionist experience
Previous experience with security/ badge access systems
Previous experience working with maintenance/facilities
Demonstrated ability to perform multi-functional tasks
Flexible and adaptable
Proven ability to remain calm under pressure
