Description
Shelve books and other library materials in alphabetical and numerical order. Must be able to work well with the public and possess good verbal communication skills.
HOURS: 14 hours per week (Saturdays and evenings as scheduled)
SALARY: $9.03 per hour

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Primary Duties:
Shelves books according to the Dewey Decimal System
Shelves other library material alphabetically and periodicals by date
Straightens library and library materials
Counts materials used by patrons for statistical reports as needed
Types and files as needed
Cleans and mends library material when assigned
Retrieves materials from non-public areas for patrons
Performs other work as needed
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 16 years of age and have two years of high school.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be physically able to shelve books and other library materials. This will require bending, stooping and stretching.
