ABOUT THIS ROLE: The selected candidate for this position…
Provides customer service to patrons at a public service desk.
Assists patrons with computers, copiers, printers, mobile devices, and other technology.
Provides reader’s advisory and research assistance guiding patrons to print collection resources and Digital Library databases and electronic materials downloads.
Answers patron questions in-person and on the phone.
Maintains assigned collection area(s).
Participates in staff meetings and training opportunities.
Works as part of a departmental and branch team.
PREFERENCES: We prefer high school diploma/G.E.D. and 1 year of Library or related experience.

Experience using an integrated library system
Strong technology skills, technical support know-how (E-readers, e-books)
Reference interviews and/or Reader’s advisory
Cash handling and/or register use.
SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS:
The Bull Run Library is currently open Monday – Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. and Thursday – Saturday, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with the possibility of expanded or altered hours. This is a part-time position, 20 hours a week, 1 evening per week and rotating weekends.
ENTRY SALARY RANGE: $18.94 – 24.24 hr.
