Hometown Veterinary Care is seeking a dedicated animal lover to join our team as a Kennel Assistant. This position is full-time, Monday through Friday.
Keeping cages clean and sanitized
Walking, feeding, and picking up after the animals
Various housekeeping duties (laundry, dishes, taking out garbage etc.)
Checking clients in and out
Playing with and interacting with dogs of all sizes and breeds both indoors and outdoors
Interacting with cats
Occasional bathing and nail trims
Must be friendly and outgoing as you will be interacting with clients on a daily basis
Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs and be willing and able to safely restrain or move dogs of all sizes including dogs that are over 100 pounds.
Must be flexible with hours and available to work holidays and weekends
Must be comfortable standing, walking and being active for most of the day
Must be able to handle excited dogs who may bark and jump

This bond-centered practice offers 30 minute appointments, providing the opportunity for the best in medical decision-making, treatment planning and client communication. We provide emergency and on call services to current clients with established patients.
