Provide centralized internship support and consultation for UVM and external constituents (e.g., employers, alums), cultivate organizations as new UVM internship hosts. Serve as Career Center’s liaison to the Office of Engagement. Identify and ameliorate barriers to student participation; coordinate internship scholarship process. Build partnerships with UVM faculty and staff to increase awareness of and access to internships and related programs and services. Apply specialized knowledge of internship pedagogy and practices, related legal issues and employer and academic processes and systems. Actively support and enhance diversity, equity and inclusion goals.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Bachelor’s degree and two to three years professional experience in higher education, internships, career-related experiential learning, and overseeing projects, effectively utilizing technology for planning, organizing, record keeping, and reporting or an equivalent combination of education and experience which may include a Master’s degree.. Demonstrate specialized knowledge of internship opportunities, academic and employer processes and legal issues, as well as comfort with and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
