What You Do
Initially will lead the establishment and ramp-up of manufacturing at a large, high-volume, cutting-edge automotive manufacturing operation.
As a part of the above, and on an ongoing basis will also:
Establish strong team member relations, at all levels and provide support for people development, coaching and mentoring with a focus on teamwork and inclusion
Collaborate with international team members from Mazda and Toyota or, other customers
Foster positive team member relations through a culture of inclusivity, open and transparent two-way communications, and innovative workplace practices with a focus on health and wellness
Develop and deliver presentations and materials to engage and educate team members on health and wellness topics
Coordinate with Medical Specialist and Safety Specialist to ensure transparent and effective information flow on issues relating to Team Member health and wellbeing
Work closely with Benefits Specialist and third party administrator (TPA) to monitor trends and to develop programs focused on prevention of health issues
Develop internal communications to promote a healthy lifestyle or participation in fitness and wellness programs
Collect and analyze data to determine interest in, or satisfaction with, wellness programs, events, or services
Participate in annual planning and budgeting for wellness initiatives
Support the development of plans/schedules for company events (fun engagement/team-building events)
Develop cross-departmental relationships for effective and accurate communications
Promote and educate team members on company Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Be versatile to work outside of core duties for development and company need
Help strategize about local community issues and how team members can be involved
Ability to work outside of typical business hours and travel as needed (domestically and internationally)
What You Bring
High School Diploma or GED required
Proven internal and/or external affairs experience
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of Products
Evidence of project management; developing and promoting messaging
What Will Set You Apart
Additional certification/higher education
Event coordination for wellness programs
Experience in Communication tools to include social media, newsletters, video presentation, etc.
Knowledge of employer-based benefit programs
