Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business or finance field or equivalent practical experience.
4 years of relevant experience in finance, management consulting, corporate strategy or similar environment.
Experience working with spreadsheet software and other database, automation or business intelligence skills (e.g. SQL).
Preferred qualifications:
A reasonable understanding of accounting processes and terminology.
Accomplished problem solving, business partnership, analysis and financial modeling skills.
Ability to self-start and self-direct work in an unstructured environment; comfortable dealing with ambiguity.
Exhibit sound business judgment and ability to re-prioritize demands, aligned with business and/or financial priorities.
About the job
As part of the Google Fiber Finance team, you will be empowered to partner with the Customer Operations teams to support and directly contribute to Google Fiber’s growth and operations by providing financial planning, reporting and analytical support.
You are able to remain flexible in a constantly changing environment. Leveraging your strong analytical capability and attention to detail, you'll develop financial forecasts, track performance metrics, and model business scenarios to inform key strategic and operational decisions (such as optimal fiber deployment methodologies or inventory order timing and quantity decision support) and help drive the performance of the growing business. You'll be the Finance partner for the Customer Operations team, with regular exposure to the senior leadership of Field Technical Strategy and Operations, Deals and Partnerships and Supply Chain Operations.

(Colorado only*) Minimum salary of $147,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
Responsibilities
Support monthly, quarterly and annual reporting and planning cycles and financial deliverables in order to drive visibility into business performance and resource planning decisions
Generate insights into drivers of costs and user metrics; identify risks and opportunities with actionable recommendations
Deliver executive-ready presentations with robust analysis, insights and actions
Work cross-functionally with business, accounting and corporate finance teams
Support month-end close activities in close partnership with accounting and business partners along with regular spend governance reviews and approvals
