This position is under the supervision of the Chief Probation Officer and assists probation staff by conducting drug screens on supervised probation cases.
Examples of Work
Responsible for conducting drug/alcohol screens utilizing various sanctioned testing methodologies. Collecting and disposing of urine specimens. Maintaining accountability for specimen identification. Communicating on a regular basis with probation staff and documenting results of drug/alcohol testing for case files. Testifying in court regarding positive drug/alcohol screens. Collecting statistics pertaining to drug/alcohol screens for submission to the Administrative Office of Probation. Responsible for drug testing supplies and equipment inventory. Perform related work as required.
Qualifications / Requirements
REQUIREMENTS: Graduation from high school or equivalent.
PREFERRED: Prior substance abuse or chemical testing training and working with the offender population.

Ability to communicate effectively with staff and clients. Capable of organizing and prioritizing daily work activities. Ability to follow directions
