The City of Foley is accepting applications for the position of Director of Parks and Recreation in the Leisure Services Division. Under limited supervision, this position directs and manages parks, events, and recreational activities and facilities for the City of Foley. This work includes managing the daily operations, marketing, programming, event management, operations/maintenance, and planning/budgeting. Primary goals include improving the quality of life for residents in the City through related activities. Reports to the Executive Director of Leisure Services.
Requires a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university and seven to ten (7-10) years of experience in a job related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Certified Park & Recreation Professional, Aquatics Facilities Operator, CPR, First Aid, Concussion Training and Coaches Training certifications are preferred. A valid driver"s license is required.
Starting salary is $75,790 annually with excellent benefits including paid health, dental, and life insurance, retirement through State of Alabama Retirement Systems, paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave, and annual performance raises.
