Responsible to ensure that all orders are assigned for pickup on the appropriate ship date to meet promised delivery dates. Work with the Shipping Department and Carriers to ensure that all shipments are scheduled and picked up on a daily basis within customer guidelines. Additional responsibilities include preparing all necessary shipping documentation and ensuring that shipments are tracked to their destination. Answer emails and phone calls efficiently with 100% customer satisfaction. Communicate directly with customers’ traffic department to ensure their transportation requirements are met.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Must have excellent written communication skills including strong spelling and grammar.
Must exhibit ability to carefully proof work and ensure proper format.
Systematically close outbound trailers.
Generate and provide carriers with required paperwork.
Communicate via phone, email, or fax all pertinent bill of lading/delivery receipts documents.
Research transportation issues regarding incomplete shipments, packages not delivering.
Schedule daily drop off and pick up of shipping trailers with various carriers.
Daily planning and routing, securing confirmations.
Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to copying, faxing, mailing and filing.
Experience, Skills & Knowledge

A proven track record in school or work experience utilizing good communication skills and basic mathematical skills.
Must have the proven ability to consistently and independently follow policies and procedures; written and verbal instruction and meet required schedules and/or deadlines.
Overall years of experience may range from 1-3 years, preferably within transportation or shipping department.
Previous experience in a team-oriented environment with an emphasis on high volume, measurable performance and understanding of how individual performance affects others in a team environment.
Ability to perform, and a history of performing, job duties in a safe manner.
Ability to manipulate and work with Excel, Word and Outlook
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with changing priorities.
Must be able to mange work load based on changing demands.
