SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
This position is responsible for collecting, processing, and maintaining custody/integrity of all property and evidence obtained by the Department; receiving, entering in the computer system, and securing in the evidence room any and all property and/or evidence; transporting of property/evidence to laboratories for testing; the processing of crime scenes; fingerprinting, photographing, sketching, measuring, identifying and classification of fingerprints, and testifies in court as required.
High School Diploma or GED.
Training (License and/or Certification):
Must possess a current valid Texas driver's license.
Will be cross-trained in telecommunications within the first year of employment and then will maintain a current TCOLE license in telecommunications thereafter.
Some experience in law enforcement identification procedures and photography is preferred.
